VERONA'S EXHIBITION
Montini Automobili is bringing a unique model to the Verona Legend car show boasting a very special story: the Ghibli AM 115 580 up for sale. Registered in 1968, it used to belong to the CEA in Bologna, a company that still exists and continues to operate in the fire-fighting sector. For this reason, the Ghibli became the safety car in Italian Formula 1 circuits during the 1970s. The Maserati Ghibli is a technical masterpiece designed by the engineer, Giulio Alfieri, while Giorgetto Giugiaro, one of the biggest designers of the century, considered it his masterpiece. However, the model being taken to Verona is even more special. It is the only Maserati Ghibli AM115 built with its original two-tone interiors intact. And it is also one of the first in the series ever made: the 240-th car built out of a total of approximately 1,100 between 4700 and 4900SS models. According to its Maserati certificate, the car was originally produced in gold colour with two-tone interiors with supplementary headrests and fog lights; it was subsequently painted white with the colours of the CEA and subsequently during the restoration work conducted in the 1990s, the original Maserati mid-night blue was picked. The car is completed by the original tool kit and owner's handbook in the dedicated leather case. It has a total mileage of 9,000 km on the clock.
